Frank Auerbach is an internationally acclaimed painter of great integrity, his work is dedicated to painting the single model and his north London surroundings in Camden Town. His painting of the 1950's and 1960's is characterised by heavy impasto and earth colours, giving way more recently to vivid colours to depict model and place. This new publication is a catalogue from Auerbach’s 2012 exhibition at Marlborough Fine Art, Albemarle Street, London and includes graphite drawings, oil pastels, some recent oil paintings and a letter to Auerbach from John Wonnacott.
