In this issue of ‘Record’, Daido Moriyama reveals that in the spring of 2020 he became slightly ill, and eventually spent some time recovering in a hospital. Following his release, he stayed at his home in Zushi and spent most days walking around its streets, taking occasional snapshots. After years of not staying in Zushi, he writes how wandering through both the city and the seaside Shonan area prompted him to reminisce about the time he spent with photographer Takuma Nakahira, already more than 50 years ago. This issue mainly consists of the pictures that were taken between April and June, the period when Moriyama was hospitalised.
