With this project, Alexis Pazoumian documents the history of Sacha and his community of reindeer herders, whose future is more than uncertain. Isolation and extreme temperatures make working conditions difficult, and today there are fewer and fewer reindeer herders. The daily life of these hunters is changing due to climate change, bringing unpredictable weather and higher temperatures, rising 4°C over the last 40 years. Nomadic herders are not aware of such figures, but they are the first to observe how environmental changes and the warming trend has dramatic consequences on their lives and animals.
