This exhibition and catalogue curated by Venezuelan artist Juan Araujo takes its title from a short story by Jorge Luis Borges, comprised of excerpts from an imaginary novel of infinite endings. By delving into the recent history of art and architecture, Araujo charts the labyrinth of references in which our creative processes take root. The publication is an endless realm of connections, a palimpsest of narratives directing our attention to the work of architects such as Luis Barragán, Pancho Guedes, Burle Marx, and Lina Bo Bardi, as well as artists from Mark Rothko to Jorge Molder, to form a cultural map, a non-linear historical narrative that develops the resonances of Borges’s classic.
