Artist and writer Janice McNab, whose paintings explore the psychological landscapes of overconsumption, traces the influence of the imaginary ‘kurbits’ flower in ‘The Ten Largest’ (1907), a breakthrough work of early modernism by Swedish painter Hilma af Klint.
