Graphic designer and illustrator Álvaro Valiño playfully represents the numbers one through ten in a visual language everyone can understand. On these folded and strategically perforated pages, vibrant but simple pictures appear alongside the numbers themselves, which are spelled out in nine different languages. The book is designed by the studio desescribir, who are also founders of the independent publishing house Fabulatorio. Among his many other activities, Valiño currently teaches infographics, focusing on the communicational possibilities of schematics and graphical synthesis in data visualisation and information design. He lives and works in Galicia, Spain.
