The artist’s work often addresses the history of the body, the relationship between mind and body, and ecological thinking. This is Isabel Lewis first artist book and is derived from a transcript of an “occasion” hosted by Lewis that formed part of a exhibition titled Times of Contemporaneity curated by Claire Bishop and Nuno Crespo. Isabel Lewis is an artist living and working in Berlin. Her work has been presented at Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève; Kunsthalle Basel; Frieze London; Liverpool Biennial; the Institute of Contemporary Arts London (ICA); Palais de Tokyo, Paris; Tate Modern London; Martin Gropius Bau, Berlin; Ming Contemporary Art Museum Shanghai; Haus der Kunst Munich; and Kunsthalle Zurich.
