In October 2019, the brand new Brussels Picture Festival invited Fotokino and the Graphure et Peintrisme project. During 3 days, Benoît Bonnemaison-Fitte, Geoffroy Pithon and Mari Kanstad Johnsen drew with 6 hands huge frescoes on rolls of virgin newspaper, to be exhibited at the Ravenstein Gallery and the Bozar Museum. Gathered by their common taste for a wild and unbridled drawing, a kind of drawing of the origins, they continued their collaboration within this publication following an imposed distance protocol. The drawings circulated by the post, Mari intervening from her Norwegian island on the paintings made by Benoît and Geoffroy during a residency with the circus company Baro d’Evel. A fluid, obvious, parietal collaboration: painting in the rules of art.
