Since the crisis many architects in Madrid have sought opportunities outside Spain, often in the Americas. This issue reviews a selection of ten successful cases, classified in three groups. The first highlights four works carried out from Madrid, such as the Bogota Convention Centre by Herreros and the Archive of Oaxaca by Mendaro. The second comprises four projects, among them the Lima Art Museum by Burgos & Garrido and an auditorium in Arequipa by Langarita Navarro. The third presents two buildings by Madrid firms based in the Americas: the Magazzino Gallery in New York by Miguel Quismondo and the Brazilian Embassy in Santiago by Ipiña+Nieto.
